THE SCHOOL

W.W. Samuell Early College High School is a tuition free public school for students in grades nine through twelve. A student teacher ratio of 14:1 fosters a close professional atmosphere in the classroom. As the leading Early College program in Dallas ISD, Samuell Early College offers the very best in educational opportunities for students as they prepare for the challenges of college and adult life.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

W.W. Samuell Early College High School is designed to afford students the opportunity to earn a High School Diploma and either an Associate of Science degree or an Associate of Arts in Teaching in four years at no cost to the student. At Samuell Early College, education is based upon a foundation of academic rigor and intellectual exploration. The leadership of Samuell Early College is committed to a diverse community of teachers and students who share a love of learning and who strive for high levels of achievement. We aim to prepare students to continue to further their education in a four year university or pursue a career in law enforcement or the military.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

Students must successfully complete all of the requirements of a traditional High School Diploma along with 60 hours of college courses. High school courses include but are not limited to the following: four years of Math, four years of English, 4 years of Social Studies, 2 years of the same foreign language (Spanish, French or German), Electives. Students will take Dual Credit courses starting in the 10th grade. Students must complete twenty five hours of community service per grade level prior to graduation. All students will apply to at least 5 four year universities. Students will receive assistance to complete all parts of their college applications.
